Luxury property developer Discovery Land Company adds Portugal and Dubai to its catalog of idyllic destinations.
Ultra-luxury real estate specialist Discovery Land is expanding its range of destinations with two new prestigious resort projects, due to open this year. With a portfolio of international properties in 35 destinations, including the USA, Latin America, Europe and the Caribbean, the American company has become a benchmark for the ultra-rich in search of exceptional residences. Today, the real estate company is planning to open two residential districts in Portugal and Dubai.
CostaTerra Golf & Ocean Club, an oasis on the Atlantic coast
The first will be located on Portugal’s Alentejo coast. Located between the seaside villages of Comporta and Melides, just an hour from Lisbon, the CostaTerra Golf & Ocean Club complex promises to be the perfect destination for elites in search of calm and authenticity.
In the initial phase of the project, Discovery Land plans to build 40 first-class real estate sites. Eventually, 142 real estate lots and over 100 turnkey residences on 291 hectares will make up this private community of golf chalets and luxury villas. Property prices are expected to start at 4 million euros. The architecture of the residences has been designed to blend in perfectly with the natural setting of the coastal landscape. Both contemporary and authentic, the homes will blend into the lush vegetation and sand dunes.
Everything has been designed to offer residents the very best in services and activities. Nestled among the pine trees, the CostaTerra golf course is a haven of peace for golf enthusiasts. Designed by renowned golf architect Tom Fazio, this 18-hole course is the ideal place to enjoy the riches of the wild coastline. The CostaTerra community can also take advantage of numerous family-friendly activities such as horseback riding, fishing, paddleboarding and surfing, as well as a wellness area including a spa.
Discovery Dunes, privacy and nature
For Discovery Land’s 35th project in 30 years, the focus is on Dubai, and more specifically on the south of the city. The Discovery Dunes complex will cover more than 250 hectares and is the first of its kind in the United Arab Emirates, with its members-only properties. With 198 mansions and villas and 132 apartments, the estate will offer a turnkey residential option, catering to the different lifestyles and interests of future residents. One of the most expensive lots will be in the center of the development, with a price tag approaching $50 million, according to Mohammed Alawadhi, Managing Director of Discovery Land Company Middle East.
Discovery Dunes residents will also be able to enjoy an 18-hole golf course, also designed by Tom Fazio and reserved for members and guests. With fewer than 340 members, this will undoubtedly be Dubai’s most exclusive community.
The architecture and design of Discovery Dunes is the fruit of a multi-faceted vision. The American company is working with international partners such as Olson Kundig, Killa Design and Champalimaud Design, to bring a fresh perspective to residential design in the region.
