Phoebe Philo has reportedly set her sights on the upscale and lively Mount Street neighborhood in the English capital for her first standalone store. The young women’s fashion house, created in 2023 by the former creative director of Celine (LVMH) and backed by the luxury goods giant, has until now been available online and in a handful of carefully selected multi-brand stores.
This marks a new step for Phoebe Philo.
The brand, launched in 2023 by its eponymous founder, the successful former creative director of Celine (LVMH) from 2008 to 2018, is reportedly planning to open its first standalone store in London, in the highly exclusive Mount Street neighborhood. The information was revealed by the trade publication WWD, citing industry sources, but has not been officially confirmed by Philo herself. The potential opening date has also not been disclosed.
E-commerce site and a handful of multi-brand stores
Backed by the world’s leading luxury goods company, which became a minority shareholder, Phoebe Philo started her business by selling her women’s ready-to-wear and accessories, quiet luxury and seasonless pieces online. Last year, she began distributing them in a handful of carefully selected multi-brand stores and concept stores in the United States, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
