The prestigious Orient Express name is now establishing itself in the luxury hotel sector with the opening of its very first hotel, Orient Express La Minerva, located right in the heart of the Italian capital. With the opening of this hotel, the brand is now making its mark in the luxury hotel sector, after the luxury train sector.
A unique setting in the heart of historic Rome
The Orient Express La Minerva hotel enjoys a privileged location just a few steps from the Pantheon, in the Piazza della Minerva. The hotel embodies the city’s historic heritage and that of the famous railway company. Housed in a 17th-century palazzo, this emblematic building has welcomed famous travelers such as Stendhal and Herman Melville, and has now been transformed into a luxurious haven for modern travelers.
The 93 rooms, including 36 suites, are decorated in warm tones, creating an atmosphere both intimate and elegant. The interior design, orchestrated by artist-architect Hugo Toro, offers a modern interpretation of Italian luxury, while preserving the soul of the place.
