While it has unveiled 2024 annual results that exceed expectations, the Moncler group is approaching the future with caution, due to its very strong dependence on China, which surprisingly drove the group’s growth in 2024.
Moncler is one of the few luxury winners in 2024.
Its slowdown in the third quarter did not last, and the Italian group, which owns the eponymous down jacket brand and the Stone Island brand, ended the year well.
Acceleration in the fourth quarter
Thanks to an acceleration in the fourth quarter, the annual results for 2024, which it unveiled on February 13, are higher than expected. These were driven by Moncler, its own network (Direct-To-Consumer), which posted double-digit growth for its two brands and, it is worth noting, by the Chinese market. This compensated for the decline, albeit slight, of the Stone Island brand last year, although its results improved significantly at the end of the year.
