Miu Miu: Silvia Onofri appointed to the general management team

The head of Napapijri (VF Corp) is to take the reins of the fast-growing little sister of the Prada group. Her 25 years of experience in fashion and luxury should help her keep the flame burning.

The appointment of Italian Silvia Onofri has just been announced as the managing director of the Italian Miu Miu to replace her compatriot, Benedetta Petruzzo. The latter’s departure for Christian Dior Couture (as deputy managing director) was announced last September.

Founded by Miucia Prada

The little, more accessible sister of Prada, which gave its name to the well-known group, was itself founded in 1992 by a female representative, Miuccia Prada, who is still the creative director of the brand.
