Massimo Piombini (Balmain CEO) step down

In an interview given a few months ago for FashionNetwork.com, Massimo Piombini explained his ambitions for Balmain.

Recruited in 2017 from Valentino (Italia) and already present on the Board of Balmain, he aspired to reach half a billion euros in turnover by 2022.

 

Unfortunately, by his departure he will not be able to see the results of this work. This December 2nd that Balmain announces his departure for “personal reasons“.

 

Massimo Piombini successor of Emmanuel Diemmoz in his role as CEO, sought to harness the creativity and personality of the French designer Olivier Rousteing.

 

It’s under his guidance that Balmain has been able to develop important collaborations like that with Cara Delevingue or Puma.

 

And that has also enriched the offer of the brand side accessories and strengthen its presence internationally, mainly in Europe in Asia and South America.

The famous brand announces that it is currently being recruiting for a new CEO who will take office in early 2020.
