Few kilometers below Bordeaux, the Château de Léognan is a superb boutique hotel that also has lodges in the middle of nature. Between its restaurant with perfectly sourced products, its walks in the park and its relaxing spa, this address is ideal for a weekend in the south-west where you take time to live.
Located in Léognan, a small town in the south-west of France below Bordeaux, this 5-star hotel invites us on a trip to the heart of the Gironde. This magnificent 19th century castle, under the aegis of the Miecaze family since 2007, is the ideal refuge for wine tourism lovers. Indeed, in addition to being a superb hotel, the address is surrounded by six hectares of vineyards, planted in 1989, on Pessac-Léognan. Wine tastings accompanied by caviar or a board are offered as well as visits to the house, the chapel and the surroundings, on foot, by bike and even by carriage.
A French style castle
This castle near Bordeaux is perfectly preserved and has 17 rooms and suites with a princely look highly elegant. The herringbone parquet floor dialogues with large crystal chandeliers, which illuminate paintings of green landscapes and period furniture with superb materials that merge with more contemporary elements. The colours range from olive green, nuanced beige, old pink and grey. Huge crush for bathrooms in orange mosaic or dressed in Art Deco mirrors, all more beautiful than each other.
