By acquiring the plant of its compatriot Arteos, Salinas Packaging Group, the Spanish specialist in luxury packaging, has completed a complementary operation both in terms of product range and geographical location.
Salinas Packaging Group, the Spanish specialist in luxury packaging, has expanded its scope with the acquisition of the 3,000 square meter Madrid plant of its compatriot, Arteos Digital. Employing 50 people, it joins its new owner’s 35,000 m2 production units in Alicante and Barcelona.
On January 31, the supplier to Loewe and Givenchy finalized the acquisition of this unit, which generates annual sales of 6 million euros, for an undisclosed sum. Based in Torrejón de Ardoz, near Madrid, it complements the Salinas business in two ways.
Specializing in folding cartons
First and foremost, in terms of product range, Salinas has enriched its already extensive product range with the Arteos specialty. In a press release, the group, founded in Alicante in 1995 by Antonio Martinez, explains that the operation will enable it “to open up to a new product category, folding cartons, an area in high demand which will give us access to important markets such as the pharmaceutical and food sectors“.
