Held on September 30, October 1 and 2, the annual gathering of luxury packaging professionals once again offers a program rich in cosmopolitan exchanges, sustainable initiatives and industry conferences.

LUXURY PACKAGING will take place in Monaco on September 30, October 1 and 2.

The next edition of LUXE PACK Monaco will take place at the Grimaldi Forum, as it has done for over 35 years in the Principality.

Once again, the event promises to be rich in exchanges and discoveries, with over 450 exhibitors expected, 10,000 participants (including over 3,000 decision-makers), 35 conferences with some 50 inspiring speakers.

Cosmopolitan format

All this in a highly cosmopolitan format, with over 120 countries represented at the show, whether in terms of exhibitors, visitors, partners, sponsors or journalists…

For brands in high-end sectors (cosmetics and perfumes, fashion, wines and spirits, delicatessen, parapharmacy, etc.), the show is an essential sourcing venue, with premium packaging manufacturers represented worldwide.

Visitors to the show include representatives of such renowned brands as Acqua Di Parma, Celine, Dior, Diptyque, Pierre Hermé, Hermès, Guerlain, Guess, Lush, Frédéric Malle and Sisley.

This year’s sponsors include Carbios, Bio Plastics & Recycling, Eastman, Gravotech, Infinity Global, metropack, MGI, Novapax, Nuon, Packly, Roctool and Scodix.

LUXURY HOME

After its successful launch in 2023, LUXE HOME will be back in 2024 , dedicated to Home Fragrance & accessories, candles and home fragrances. It boasts the “best suppliers” of candles, home fragrances, incense holders, diffusers and vaporizers, candles and candlesticks, extinguishers, premium matches and cases, oil lamps and more. In 2024, exhibitors include Les Bougistes, Candles Scandinavia, Cirier, Denis & Fils, Hgr, Estal, PNP Agency…

On its website, LUXE PACK also underlines the growing importance in the market of these olfactory aids. “The global candle market, valued at $6.8 billion in 2021 and estimated to reach $9.9 billion by 2028 benefits from an expected annual growth of 6.3% on average until 2026 according to Businesscoot, 2022. A success that extends to networks in particular, with over 17 million hits for #candles on Instagram…”

And he observes that “the biggest beauty houses, of course, but also spirits, delicatessen or even automotive brands are thinking about their olfactory identity”.

LUXE PACK formulation, the platform for Beauty

The other dedicated area, LUXE PACK formulation – a unique platform for beauty professionals dedicated to formulation and full-service – has been at the show for longer.

The relevance of this area, set up in the Genoese hall and offering a view of the sea, is obvious… Indeed, while over 60% of LUXE PACK visitors are decision-makers from perfumery and cosmetics brands (R&D, Formulation, Laboratory, Marketing, Purchasing, etc.), “packaging plays an increasingly fundamental role in protecting formulas”,

On the program: before the show, “large-scale communication with perfumery and cosmetics decision-makers, the media and other influencers”, and at the show, “ workshops unveiling know-how and innovations to a targeted audience”, “testimonials from innovative beauty brands and trend experts”…

Exhibitors include Agrimer, Alpol, Arthes, Beauty Yaurient, Dimolog, Effervescence LAB, Fast Beauty Retailing, Hakuhodo.co, Gilbert, Laboratoire Science & Nature, Lessonia, Lorcos, PCW, Provendi, Technature and Smp.

LUXE PACK in green award

Last but not least, as it has done for the past 14 years, LUXE PACK will be organizing the LUXE PACK in green Award, which highlights and rewards the best sustainable packaging innovations and responsible approaches by exhibitors.

This year’s jury will be made up of Stéphane Bernelas, Purchasing Director at Hennessy & Primary Packaging (Moët Hennessy), Hélène Villecroze, Ecodesign Manager at Chanel, and Marine Ducarouge, Global Packaging Development Manager at Pernod Ricard, Arnaud Lancelot, ANCELOT, Director of “We don’t need roads”, Marianne Mensah, Head of Sustainable Innovation at Besign Sustainable Design School, and Annabelle Tratapel, Director of Product Development and Marketing at La Rosée.

More generally, LUXE PACK, which claims to be “a pioneer in sustainable packaging”, is continuing its “efforts to make sustainable development an integral part of the show in 2024, with the aim of becoming THE international barometer of eco-responsible packaging trends for luxury brands”.

A privatized TGV

Another original green initiative proposed by LUXE PACK Monaco since last year, and renewed in 2024 due to its success , is the possibility of travelling to the show in six hours, via a privatized TGV direct from Paris to Monaco. On arrival, shuttles will be available to take you to the Grimaldi Forum in just a few minutes.

This special TGV will run on the morning of Monday September 30, offering “a practical, economical and environmentally-friendly means of transport”. According to the French Environment and Energy Management Agency (ADEME), “the carbon footprint of a train journey over this distance is 26 times smaller than that of a plane journey”, points out the show, which is offering this service in partnership with Monaco’s Mission pour la Transition Energétique and the Monaco government…

For an economical price (90 H ttc), which also includes a “tasty breakfast and an eco-responsible lunch”, passengers will combine business with pleasure: networking with their peers, and working in peace, but also massages, tastings of local products and exclusive presentations…

A record 2023 vintage

Contributing to the show’s appeal, the conference program will soon be announced…

With its rich program, LUXE PACK MONACO could yet beat the record attendance recorded by its 2023 edition: over 450 exhibitors (+19% on 2022), some 10,420 visitors (+10.5%) and over 80 expert speakers and 120 countries represented.

More than half the visitors came from outside France.
