Beninese photographer Léonce Raphaël Agbodjélou has been chosen to shoot the latest collection from French haute couture giant Louis Vuitton.
Born in 1965 in Porto-Novo, Léonce is very attached to his culture and currently lives in Benin, a country where all of his business is centered.
He is an acclaimed portrait photographer who led the opening of the first photography school in Benin in 2013 and was appointed president of the Porto-Novo Photographers Association in 2018.
For Louis Vuitton’s latest 2020-2021 spring/summer campaign, Agbodjélou uses traditional African patterns, a theme that once again shows his attachment to his native continent.
The sumptuous decor enliven clothes, shoes and accessories in jewelry tones, while a selection of local flowers is buried in boots, nestled in beautiful ceramics and kept apart by the models.
The various wooden pieces of furniture give a timeless look to contemporary looks in men’s fashion, accompanied by very trendy items such as Louis Vuitton trunks mounted on the shoulders and belts saturated with logo.
