L’Oréal: Françoise Bettencourt Meyers passes the torch to her son Jean-Victor

The handover between the heiress of the world’s leading beauty company and her son, to whom she has handed over her role as vice-chair of the board of directors, was approved at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on Friday, April 29. However, Françoise Bettencourt Meyers has stated that she is not leaving L’Oréal.

April 29 is a particularly important date for Jean-Victor Meyers.

In addition to being his 39th birthday, it is also the day of L’Oréal’s general meeting. And his mother, Françoise Bettencourt Meyers, 71, chose this date to hand over the reins of vice-chair of the board of directors to him, after almost three decades in the role.
