Accor announces its arrival in Las Vegas with the integration of the famous Treasure Island – TI Las Vegas Hotel & Casino into its prestigious Handwritten Collection, making it the largest Accor establishment in the world.
This strategic partnership between the French hotel giant and Phil Ruffin, an influential businessman and owner of the complex, marks a decisive step for the group. Through a franchise agreement, Accor will support the transformation of Treasure Island by bringing the influence of its international network, while preserving its original spirit and local roots.
In addition to becoming the largest Accor hotel, with 2,884 rooms, it is also the brand’s first to set up shop on the Strip, in the heart of the entertainment capital of the world.
A new era for a Las Vegas icon
Overlooking the famous avenue and the Las Vegas Grand Prix circuit, Treasure Island – Handwritten Collection offers spectacular views of the Strip, the Sphere, and the surrounding mountains. Inspired by the adventurous world of Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island, the hotel retains its whimsical touch while embracing contemporary standards of comfort and elegance.
With more than 550 hotels in America, Accor is strengthening its position in the North American market, where demand for distinctive hotel experiences continues to grow. Treasure Island becomes the second property in the Accor Handwritten Collection in the United States, following the Stratford Hotel in San Francisco, which opened in 2024.
For Phil Ruffin, this partnership with Accor is an opportunity to pass on the legacy of Treasure Island to a new generation of travelers : “Treasure Island has long held a special place in the history of Las Vegas, and I am confident that Accor and its Handwritten Collection brand will further enrich its legacy and attract new generations of guests and visitors. This new chapter brings new energy to the resort while preserving its inimitable spirit. We are proud to align ourselves with Accor, a global leader in hospitality whose values resonate deeply with our own, and we look forward to a successful and lasting partnership.”
A renovation for a complete offering
The complex has recently been modernized thanks to a multi-million dollar renovation, incorporating new design touches and cutting-edge technologies. The spacious lobby leads to a tropical pool, while guests can check in using self-service or with the help of staff available 24 hours a day.
The hotel’s 10 restaurants and 8 bars, from Phil’s Steak House to Gilley’s Saloon and the Golden Circle Sports Bar, showcase the breadth of its culinary offerings. The Oleksandra spa & salon, wedding chapels, high-tech event spaces, and of course more than 8,000 square meters of casino gaming complete this 100% Vegas experience. The property is also connected to Fashion Show Las Vegas, the city’s largest shopping mall.
The rooms and suites promise high-end comfort : SensaTIonal beds or whirlpool baths, all accompanied by impressive panoramic views. In addition, the complex is now certified Four Green Globes, a recognized environmental label that rewards its efforts in energy, water, air quality, and resource management.
Thomas Dubaere, CEO of Accor Americas, said this acquisition is a powerful symbol of Accor’s ambition in North America : “We are thrilled to bring Accor to Las Vegas and offer our ALL Accor members and customers here in the United States, as well as those from around the world, an incredible opportunity to stay at this iconic property—now the largest Accor hotel in the world. The addition of Treasure Island – IT Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, Handwritten Collection is a significant achievement, not only for our Handwritten Collection portfolio, but also for Accor’s growing presence of exclusively selected properties in the US market.”
