[Luxus Magazine] Fashion: Kim Kardashian becomes the face of Marc Jacobs’ new campaign

On his instagram account, eponymous fashion designer Marc Jacobs has just unveiled a preview of the new fall/winter campaign. And who better than global reality TV star Kim Kardashian to embody the brand’s new face in a series of vintage shots.


Despite all that can be said about Kim Kardashian-the star-influencer-businesswoman with 363 million followers on Instagram-fashion is crazy about her face and image. Cover of the biggest magazines, designer of her own brand, muse to Dolce & Gabbana and now the man who orchestrated Louis Vuitton’s artistic direction for sixteen years (1997-2013): Marc Jacobs. She loves fashion and fashion loves her.

For his part, the American designer known for his keen sense and unique vision of fashion, revealed via the Californian social network that Kim Kardashian would be the new face of his winter campaign. A move that obviously provoked a reaction from his community, as well as the rest of the fashion sphere.


A surprising muse


After the new Gucci campaign, which saw Phoebe Philo, Daria Werbowy and Chloé Sevigny’s favorite model rise from the ashes at Proenza Schouler, it’s now Marc Jacobs turn to rehabilitate an icon of the 2000s. It has to be said that the designer, always perched on high heels, has a strong penchant for star muses. He has already collaborated with such big names as Cher, Winona Ryder, Pamela Anderson, Lourdes Leon and now Kim K.
