Kering recently announced the official resignation of Tidjane Thiam from his position as a Board Member within the French luxury group. This strategic decision is aimed at freeing up time for his new political commitments, following his election as the President of the Democratic Party of Côte d’Ivoire on December 22nd.
Kering announced on Tuesday, January 9th, that Tidjane Thiam has officially resigned from his position as a Board Member within the prestigious French luxury group.
This decision aims to free up time for his new political commitments. Indeed, the businessman and politician was elected as the President of the Democratic Party of Côte d’Ivoire (PDCI) on December 22nd.
“In order to have the necessary availability to dedicate himself to his political commitments, Tidjane Thiam, elected president of the Democratic Party of Côte d’Ivoire on December 22nd, has submitted his resignation from his position as a board member to the chairman of Kering’s board of directors,” stated the group led by François-Henri Pinault in a press release.
Dedication to Kering
He served as an independent Board Member since June 16, 2020, within Kering and also held the position of Chairman of the Audit Committee and member of the Compensation Committee.
