Kering Eyewear strengthens its industrial strategy with the acquisition of Visard and a stake in Mistral

As part of its ambition to reinforce its leading position in the luxury eyewear market, Kering Eyewear recently signed a strategic agreement with two Italian eyewear manufacturers : Visard and Mistral. This agreement provides for the acquisition of 100% of Visard, while allowing Kering Eyewear to take a minority stake in Mistral, with an option to acquire the entire company by 2030.

 

Key partners in the eyewear industry

 

Visard and Mistral, founded in 1985 and 1991 respectively, are based in the Veneto province of Belluno, one of the world’s leading eyewear centers. Both companies share a recognized expertise in the design and manufacture of high-quality sunglasses and eyewear: Visard specializes in the production of injected plastic optical and sunglass frames, offering the handcrafted expertise for which the company is renowned. As for Mistral, the company stands out for its acetate frames, combining traditional craftsmanship with technical innovation.
