The Kering group has announced its intention to propose three new members to its board of directors. The outcome of these appointments will be discussed at the next general meeting of the group on April 25th.
The wind is about to change within the luxury group. The French giant Kering is preparing for its upcoming general meeting on April 25th. The appointment of new independent directors to the board of directors is at the top of the agenda.
Monday, March 18th, Kering announced its intention to propose three names to the shareholders to compensate for the recent departures of Jean-François Palus, appointed CEO of Gucci, and Tidjane Thiam, who has decided to focus on his political career as head of the Democratic Party of Côte d’Ivoire (PDCI). To replace them, Dominique D’Hinnin, chairman of Eutelsat Communications, Chinese businesswoman Rachel Duan, and former Italian Minister of Culture, Giovanna Melandri, are being considered.
The group also anticipates the departure of actress and activist Emma Watson. The British actress joined the luxury leader’s board of directors in 2020, and her term is soon coming to an end.
