The LVMH group officially announced Jonathan Anderson’s appointment as artistic director of Dior Men at its general meeting. The talented craftsman behind Loewe’s success succeeds Kim Jones, who left at the end of January.
On Thursday, April 17, during the LVMH shareholders’ meeting, CEO Bernard Arnault himself announced the arrival of Jonathan Anderson as head of creative direction for Dior Men collections.
The former Loewe designer’s first show is expected in June during the next Paris Men’s Fashion Week.
The brief statement issued by the group does not yet specify the identity of the creative director who will take charge of the women’s collections at Dior. This role could also fall to Jonathan Anderson, replacing Maria Grazia Chiuri, who is rumored to be leaving.
Eleven years at the helm of Loewe
Despite mediocre results in the first quarter of 2025, Bernard Arnault took the time during the annual general meeting to welcome the new artistic directors of the group’s fashion houses, notably Sarah Burton at Givenchy, Michael Rider at Celine, and Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCullough at Loewe.
