In the midst of restructuring, the maximalist fashion house Roberto Cavalli announced on Tuesday that it sees growth prospects through “strategic partnerships.” This news comes as the Italian fashion house unveils its summer capsule collection of swimwear with Kim Kardashian’s sculpting brand, SKIMS.
The Roberto Cavalli fashion house, which is currently undergoing restructuring, has announced that it is exploring “strategic partnerships” as part of its growth options.
The announcement sought to calm persistent rumors about the search for a potential buyer, but also to bounce back from its owner’s desire, revealed by Italian media, to part ways with the brand and even open it up to outside investors.
The news comes as the iconic and sexy Roberto Cavalli x SKIMS capsule collection is set to hit stores on June 27.
Growth prospects
“Cavalli is striving to find the best path for growth, including exploring strategic partnerships,” the statement said. It added that “this process will be conducted with the participation of all relevant stakeholders.”
Founded by Florentine designer Roberto Cavalli in the 1970s, the eponymous brand enjoyed its heyday in the 1990s and 2000s, becoming, like Gianni Versace, synonymous with glamour and excess.
