Kering’s eyewear division is continuing its acquisition policy in the Made in Italy sector with Lenti, a specialist in sunglasses lenses. Kering is thus continuing to strengthen a division that remains one of the few dynamic ones for the luxury group.
Kering Eyewear is strengthening its industrial capabilities by focusing more than ever on Made in Italy.
On Tuesday, June 10, the Kering group’s eyewear division announced the acquisition of the Italian company Lenti, based in the Bergamo region and employing around 100 people.
Specialist in molding and surface treatments
Founded in 1996 by entrepreneur Marco Negri in partnership with the Safilo group, one of Kering Eyewear’s competitors, Lenti “specializes in molding and surface treatments. It develops solutions designed to protect and optimize vision in many areas of application, including sunglasses lenses, visors, and various protective components for the lighting, automotive, and motorcycle industries,” Kering Eyewear said in a statement.
