Accor and InterGlobe, an Indian conglomerate specializing in travel and transport, are joining forces to give new impetus to the hotel industry in India. By creating a joint platform and forging a strategic partnership with Treebo, a key player in the budget hotel sector, the two groups aim to build the country’s fastest-growing hotel network, with a target of 300 Accor-branded establishments by 2030.
A common platform to capture a booming market
In view of the spectacular growth of the Indian tourism market, Accor and InterGlobe have decided to strengthen their long-standing partnership through the creation of a new autonomous entity, dedicated to the development of Accor brands in India. This integrated structure will bring together the hotel management operations and development projects of both partners.
Accor, which already operates 71 hotels in India and plans to open 40 more, will use this platform to simplify its local organization and accelerate its expansion.
The joint ambition is to build a network of 300 hotels under the Accor banner by 2030, taking advantage of the enormous potential of a market in full structuring.
