Last spring, Shangri-La unveiled two new hotels in China: Shangri-La Nanshan, Shenzhen and JEN Kunming by Shangri-La. Both openings testify to the dynamism of the Chinese luxury hotel market.
The Shangri-La group welcomes two new hotels in the cities of Shenzhen and Kunming. With these openings, the Hong Kong hotel group strengthens its portfolio of prestigious establishments and reaffirms its historic commitment to the Chinese market.
Luxury on the Great Bay
The Shangri-La Nanshan is located in the dynamic Great Bay region of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao.
The Group’s 91st property worldwide, the hotel is also its fourth address in Shenzhen, an industrial city and epicenter of China’s Silicon Valley, renowned for the presence of high-tech companies such as TENCENT and Alibaba.
The establishment is located in the heart of Shenzhen Bay, atop the Shenwan Huiyun Center, offering a luxurious landmark. The hotel’s 272 rooms span the top 13 floors of the building, offering breathtaking views of Shenzhen Bay, the Hong Kong skyline, the Chinese overseas city’s wetland park or magnificent sunsets.
The Shangri-La Nanshan does not forget to offer top-of-the-range dining and wellness-oriented facilities, such as its Wellness Club, located on the 77th floor , which offers a serene retreat with a breathtaking view, or the Café 66 and Summer Palace.
Urban culture in Yunnan province
The JEN Kunming by Shangri-La hotel is located in Kunming, capital of Yunnan province.
Its location in Kunming’s first ring road, well served by metro line 3, caters for both international visitors and local residents.
The hotel is a 20-minute drive from the city’s key cultural sites, including the Kunming Museum, Nanqiang Night Market and Qianwang Street.
Featuring 274 rooms, the hotel also boastsa 2,200-square-meterwellness club and the OpenHouse Café Bar, which serves typical Yunnan cuisine, Asian delicacies and drinks.
JEN Kunming is part of the Shangri-La Group’s dual-brand project, which will include another property in 2025: the Shangri-La Kunming.
