Already in charge of G.H Mumm and Perrier-Jouët champagnes at Pernod Ricard, François-Xavier Morizot is also taking over the reins of the spirits group’s cognac business. This is being severely hampered by the surcharges imposed by Beijing on European brandies at the end of 2024.

François-Xavier Morizot, already in charge of champagnes at the French spirits group, has just been appointed to head its Martell cognac house.
He replaces Philippe Neusch, who spent only two years in the position.

“Already committed to the group and with extensive experience in managing another AOC,” François-Xavier Morizot “will ensure continuity while demonstrating a genuine desire to fully invest himself in discovering and getting to know his new ecosystem,” commented Martell in a press release.
