France: Ruinart, top of the most searched champagnes on Google

Does the House of Epernay, founded in 1729, produce France’s favourite champagne? Ruinart was in any case the brand most often seized in Google searches in 2019, reports a new study SemRush.

Unsurprisingly, the LVMH group wins the portion of the most sought-after champagnes on Google.  This is at least stated in the latest study by SemRush, the online visibility analysis platform that enables companies to achieve measurable results in online marketing.

With its portfolio of Ruinart and Veuve Clicquot, the French luxury juggernaut imposes its mark on this list.

On average per month, French internet users searched 28,173 times Ruinart and 14,764 times Veuve Clicquot. Champagne Louis Roederer, for its part, tempered the hegemony of LVMH by taking second place, thanks to 16,427 searches carried out on Google.

The champagne houses that follow are not as popular as the first three; searches for them counted only four digits. We find big families of champagne like Taittinger (4th) if not the prestigious brand embodied by Jay-Z Armand de Brignac (8th).
