Despite a very respectable performance in the first nine months of 2024, Ferretti, the Italian leader in luxury yachting, has revised its full-year forecasts downwards.
Will the US elections reshuffle the cards for the Ferretti Group?
For the moment, the yachting leader is cautious in its forecasts for 2024. Although we can imagine that the appointment of Donald Trump as future President of the United States should reassure a certain number of its wealthy customers on the other side of the Atlantic. According to the Group, however, its annual results depend on the confirmation of American orders for yachts in its so-called “composite” segment. Measuring a maximum of 30 meters (100 feet) and built with fiberglass or carbon fiber composite hulls, these composite yachts are the smallest of Ferretti’s models, classified into three sectors (along with Superyachts and Custom Yachts).
Excellent signs
Overall, in the third quarter, Ferretti observed “excellent signs” in the composite yacht segment, “which should give a further boost to order intake”.
