Ferrari is taking the plunge into ocean racing with Hypersail, a new-generation sailboat directly inspired by Formula 1 racing. This ambitious project aims to create a self-sufficient monohull, powered by renewable energies, capable of “flying” above the water thanks to foil technology.

 

At the crossroads of performance and innovation, the Prancing Horse intends to push back the limits on the oceans…

 

In Maranello, where supercar engines usually roar, the Italian brand is developing Hypersail, its very first racing yacht, a monohull over 30 meters long powered 100% by renewable energies and designed to take on the extreme challenges of ocean racing.

 

A cross between two worlds

 

Designed in-house in the same workshops as the F80 and Daytona SP3, Hypersail incorporates 90% of Maranello-made components. The naval architecture is the work of Guillaume Verdier, a world reference in the field, while Ferrari contributes all its know-how in aerodynamics, composite materials, energy management and on-board software.
