Dior unveils its second address in Vienna

With the ball season – which fills the Austrian capital with life for three months of the year – in full swing, Dior unveiled a new flagship store on March 8. Larger than its previous Viennese address, the boutique is located in the city’s epicenter of luxury and fashion, on Tuchlaubenstraße in the Goldenes Quartier.

After opening major boutiques in Osaka and Bangkok at the end of last year and expanding the Dallas outlet, Dior is strengthening its retail presence in Europe with a second address in Vienna, Austria.

Austria since 2014

Dior has been present in the Austrian capital for more than ten years.

When, in 2014, the LVMH group’s fashion house opened its first boutique in the country, it had already chosen Vienna for its flagship store, which extends over two levels.

With 1000 m² spread over three floors, Dior’s new Viennese address promises to be even more impressive.

Like any self-respecting flagship store, the boutique offers the full Dior range, including women’s and men’s collections, as well as shoes, leather goods, accessories, jewelry and fragrances.

The boutique is located on Tuchlaubenstraße, formerly a landmark for the city’s fabric merchants, whose name derives from the German “Tuch”, meaning fabric, and “Lauben”, meaning an arbour or alcove. This designation comes from the guild of fabric sellers that had been established there since the 13th century.

The epicenter of Viennese luxury par excellence, the new boutique stands alongside Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Jimmy Choo and Alexander McQueen.

A building between history and ultra-contemporaneity
