Dispensing categorySandrine Conseiller is the new CEO of De Beers Brands. A turning point for the South African diamond giant, who deliberately chose a figure from the consumer goods industry, who spent most of her career in Unilever’s beauty division.
Sandrine Conseiller succeeds Marc Jacheet as CEO of De Beers Brands, the entity comprising De Beers Jewellers and De Beers Forevermark.
Her arrival is particularly atypical for the diamond giant, given that her 25 years of experience in fashion and beauty were mostly gained in consumer goods.
She will take up her duties as CEO and member of the Executive Committee on December 1. Her role will be to oversee the growth of the Group’s brands, as well as investments in the exploration of new diamond markets.
The new CEO will manage the De Beers Jewellers retail business and the De Beers Forevermark consumer brand.
His rather mass-market-oriented profile contrasts sharply with that of his predecessor, Marc Jacheet, a respected veteran of the luxury goods industry.
