Four years after taking the helm of the iconic tableware company, owned by the Chalhoub Group, the CEO has announced her imminent departure and named her successor, Hamdi Chatti. An expert in luxury goods, the former president of Louis Vuitton’s watch and jewelry division will have the task of continuing the successful modernization of Christofle.
In just four years, she has restored the French company Christofle to its former glory, and it will celebrate its 200th anniversary in 2030.
Emilie Viargues, who has celebrated her 40th birthday, announced on LinkedIn that she would be leaving “in a few weeks”, and that “after four extraordinary years”, her position as President and CEO of the iconic Maison dedicated to tableware, a subsidiary of the luxury group Chalhoub since 2012.

She also says she is “really happy to have been able to participate in the choice” of her successor, Hamdi Chatti, with whom she “shares a boundless passion for safeguarding manufacturing, luxury craftsmanship and handiwork” as well as “a love of beauty and a job well done”. She explains that she has “total confidence in him to continue the development of the House of Christofle, defending its values, its crafts, and the women and men who carry them forward”.
