The promising young Bollywood actress is expected to help the House of Chanel better conquer a promising market. This is a useful move for the luxury brand, whose main destinations are currently slowing down.
Chanel has also enlisted the services of a Bollywood star to help it conquer India. Ananya Panday will be the first ambassador to represent the House of Chanel in her country.
The 26-year-old actress, who is very popular in Asia, announced the good news in a post on her Instagram account, accompanied by a photo of herself in casual attire—jeans and a jacket—and, most importantly, carrying a bag from the famous fashion house. She said she was “so grateful and excited to begin this journey with Chanel” as “the first-ever ambassador for India and someone who is from India. Dreams can come true.”
