The ArtyA watchmaking house, renowned for its daring artistry, presents the Tourbillon Central 2024 collection. Comprising three unique timepieces, this trilogy complements the Maison’s Purity collection.
The Purity collection expands.
With Tourbillon Central, not one but three new watch models have been added to the catalog ofArtyA, the Swiss watchmaking company founded in 2009 by Yvan Arpa.
These limited-edition timepieces are distinguished by their three colored sapphire tints, but above all by the introduction ofa new mechanism, the “manufacture tourbillon movement”.
This revolution in the art of timekeeping marks a new era in the luxury watchmaking industry.
The central tourbillon: a technical and aesthetic feat
The centerpiece of this collection is without doubt the central tourbillon, a true symbol of the technical expertise of the independent Geneva Maison.
This unique architecture reveals the brand’s first automatic central tourbillon movement measuring 20 mm in diameter.
This complex and refined movement levitates the tourbillon above its skeleton. It operates at a frequency of 4 Hz, or 28,800 vibrations per hour. This exceptional precision is made possible by the incorporation of two barrels operating in tandem, offering a 60-hour power reserve.
A timepiece as if suspended in mid-air
The mechanism seems to float at the heart of a crystalline dome, offering an unprecedented perspective on the movement.
This purity is made possible by a sapphire case, allowing a full view of the tourbillon. Sapphire, a noble and innovative material, is used with mastery by ArtyA, one of the watchmaking pioneers in the use of this unique material. Its qualities of transparency and robustness allow us to admire the architectural beauty of the watch mechanism, while offering exceptional durability.
This unprecedented observation of perpetual motion creates an effect of suspension and lightness, making this watch both technical and timeless, ideal for passing down from generation to generation.
What’s more, ArtyA offers a choice of colors: salmon-red sapphire, emerald green or royal blue, creating a trilogy of pieces with a unique character.
In a quest to free the tourbillon from any obstacle to observation, the central hands have been removed. The hours and minutes can now be read by two subtle, refined indicators floating around the circumference of the dial.
Selected by the GPHG 2024 Academy
Since its inception, ArtyA has distinguished itself by its ability to fuse watchmaking technique with art. This distinction will be honored in November 2024 at the Grand Prix de l’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG).
Selected in the “Complications for Men” category by more than 1,000 industry professionals, the Tourbillon Central 2024.is a true consecration, among the six best complication watches of the year.
This is the brand’s fifth selection at the GPHG, confirming its place in the Haute Horlogerie landscape.
ArtyA: independence at the service of innovation
As an independent watchmaking company, ArtyA enjoysthe creative freedom to explore new avenues. Under the visionary direction ofYvan Arpa, each collection is the fruit of artistic and technical collaboration, with innovation at the heart of the creative process. ArtyA doesn’t just follow trends, it creates them, transforming each watch into a timeless work of art, pushing back the boundaries of the possible.
Under the impetus of Yvan Arpa and his combined experience with the Richemont group (Baume & Mercier and Hublot), Romain Jerôme and Jacob & Co, ArtyA has also distinguished itself through its complications and the use of unusual natural materials, such as butterfly wings, real spiders, fossilized dinosaur droppings and tobacco leaves.
But above all, the brand stands out for its unique savoir-faire: foudroyage. This unpredictable engraving process, obtained by varying the voltage between 100,000 and 1 million volts, guarantees the uniqueness of each piece: no two timepieces from the Maison are alike.
These are the elements that have established ArtyA as “The Manufacture of Emotions”.
