A legendary tea room since 1903, Angelina Paris highlights three cocoas of African origin—Niger, Ghana, and Côte d’Ivoire. Perfectly balanced, this traditional hot chocolate, whose recipe has remained unchanged for over a century, offers unmatched smoothness, indulgence, and lightness. Angelina has several locations in Paris and Versailles, as well as a boutique in Lyon. But its historic tea room at 226 Rue de Rivoli is undoubtedly the one most worth experiencing. Moreover its shops offer its famous hot chocolate in a glass bottle so you can enjoy it at home!
PLAQ Chocolat (Paris 2nd arrondissement)
Considered one of the best bean-to-bar establishments in France, PLAQ chocolat follows a true “from bean to cup” philosophy. In their Parisian workshop, cocoa beans are processed on-site, and the hot chocolate can be customized with milk or water and topped with a swirl of raw cream whipped into chantilly for extra pleasure.
Four Seasons George V Paris (Paris 8th arrondissement)
For an ultra-luxurious hot chocolate, head to the Four Seasons George V. In its prestigious salons, the Palace offers a signature drink that is as playful as it is decadent. The cup comes with whipped cream, chocolate pearls, and marshmallows. Enjoy it with a pastry crafted by Michael Bartocetti.
