[LIFESTYLE] The best fashion and luxury campaigns for fall season

Givenchy, Cartier, Pucci, Maison Margiela… In addition to its golden colors and its first heavy pieces as temperatures drop, autumn is a source of inspiration for luxury fashion houses. Many of them have opted for a black-and-white theme and big stars to win over buyers.

Playing fully on the interplay of light and shadow and offering both authentic and timeless elegance, black-and-white photography is all the rage this season.

From neutral studio backgrounds to natural environments and glamorous nightclubs, here is a selection of seven iconic campaigns from this fall.

Karl Lagerfeld with Paris Hilton

For the start of the 2025 school year, the brand Karl Lagerfeld hit hard with a campaign featuring Paris Hilton. Entitled ‘From Paris with Love’, we see the it-girl of the 2000s posing in black and white like the great couturier who died in 2019 during the videos “Karl Interviews Karl”. A pretty reference creating a link between the two protagonists. Pier Paolo Righi, CEO of the brand, said: ‘Paris is both a global icon and a businesswoman – someone who understands the cultural power of image and reinvention. She and Karl each defined their era in their own way”.

Sarah Burton’s first campaign for Givenchy

Revealed at the end of August, the first campaign of the new artistic director of Givenchy, Sarah Burton, also made a big noise. On these black and white shots, several women of all generations pose on a neutral background, in a relaxed, simple and joyfully fashionable atmosphere. “I wanted to capture the brilliant women I work with within the cast – real moments, where everyone works together” explained Sarah Burton.

Cartier celebrates its panther

In September, Cartier bets on its heritage. The jewelry house presents a campaign dedicated to its panther, mythical feline that has accompanied it for more than a century. Here, the charismatic animal mingles with the lettering of the Cartier logo. A simple double staging that affirms the brand’s ambition: to promote its heritage and value longevity that should speak to its loyal customers.

Miley Cyrus, first face of Maison Margiela

Miley Cyrus became the first face of Maison Margiela. To glorify this new era, the fashion house proposed a campaign perfectly anchored in its universe, all on the occasion of the Autumn-Winter Preview 2025 collection. The singer, with slightly plated hair and white eyebrows, appears in a tight body and long coat or in an architectural dress, and sometimes naked. Paolo’s nudes are so emblematic and characteristic of his art. Posing naked for a fashion campaign was a highlight, I only wore body paint and the iconic painted Tabi boots. At that moment, Margiela and I were only one,” said Miley Cyrus.

Alaïa on the beach

In a melancholic and cinematic atmosphere, carried by a grained black and white, the summer-autumn 2025 campaign of Alaïa takes us to a large beach dominated by cliffs in the background. Belonging to an imaginary geography, to a space out of time”, as the brand indicates, the clichés, once again in black and white, transpose the architectural and couture dresses of the House into a raw nature. Cinema goers will recognize it as a tribute to Jane Campion’s film The Piano (1993).

Pucci called on the world’s largest model for her autumn campaign: Naomi Campbell. The 80s,90s, 00s supermodel dances and sings on a club-like disco rhythm with chic faceted balls. “She was in a super good mood, super cheerful and very generous. I think she perfectly embodies this collection, because it exudes a glamorous and diva side… a very Studio 54 atmosphere, explained Camille Miceli, artistic director of Pucci, to WWD.
