The Talents du Luxe ceremony took place on June 19, at the end of the Sommet du Luxe, at the InterContinental Paris Le Grand hotel. This unmissable event rewards artisans, craftspeople and luxury executives with ten awards, as well as the evening’s flagship prize: the Talent d’Or. This year, the award went to Alain Passard, chef at the gourmet restaurant L’Arpège, a Parisian establishment that has been serving “grande cuisine légumière” since 2001. LUXUS PLUS was there.
What if this were the cure for luxury fatigue: a return to the ten core values that make the sector unique and each of which is recognized with an award at the Talents du Luxe ceremony. Since 2002, the Talents du Luxe et de la Création ceremony has honored those who embody boldness, well-being, elegance, harmony, innovation, invention, originality, rarity, seduction, and management. Some of the winners already work for major luxury brands.
Among them, chef Alain Passard, winner of the 2025 Talent d’Or, bridges the gap between two major themes of the year: beauty and nature.
All of the 2025 Talents du Luxe were awarded a trophy symbolizing the infinity of the creative act and the constant evolution of materials, a creation co-designed by Alain Moatti, architect and co-founder of the Moatti-Rivière agency, and Laurent Delles, cabinetmaker in Solgnes (CréaDiffusion) and 2024 Luxury Talent in the “innovation” category.
The coronation of “great vegetable cuisine”
Thanking the audience at the Salon Opéra of the Intercontinental Paris Le Grand hotel, Alain Passard was keen to point out that “it is French haute cuisine that is represented here tonight.” As he took to the stage, the chef of the three-star restaurant L’Arpège made a point of saluting not only his teams in the kitchen, dining room, and wine cellar, but also his gardeners, “who are at the heart of this great vegetable cuisine that is coming into its own.”
