Until November 22, the Valmont Foundation in Venice is hosting a new exhibition by Didier Guillon, President of the beauty and cosmetics brand. Entitled “Telemachus”, the presentation integrates the contemporary art trilogy inspired by Homer’s Odyssey and focuses on the character of Telemachus.
Valmont inaugurates the second chapter in its series of contemporary art exhibitions, dedicated to and inspired by Homer’s mythical work The Odyssey, an ancient Greek epic published towards the end of the 8th century BC.
Four artists united
This new stage, on view until November 22 at the Valmont Foundation in Venice’s Palazzo Bonvicini, tells the story of the character Telemachus. The “Telemachus” exhibition explores the father-son relationship from the viewpoints of Telemachus and Ulysses. A character from Greek mythology, son of Ulysses and Penelope, Telemachus appears in the Greek epics of the Trojan Cycle, where he helps his mother and then his father against the suitors.
