After Chaumet, it’s Dior’s turn to launch its new series of podcasts on the world of jewelry

The French luxury house Dior announces the launch of its new five-episode podcast series on the subject of the house’s jewelry, told by professionals in the trade, available starting November 13.
After covering the subjects of feminist art and the history of perfumes, this time the Dior talks podcasts focus on the history of Dior jewelry. A project initiated by the artistic director of the Dior Jewelry collections, Victoire de Castellane, creator of the first Haute Joaillerie collection in the history of the house in 1999.
For this occasion, the luxury house invited philosophers, historians, ethnologists and art critics to each episode to tell the story of this French craft of excellence from different angles.
This new series on the world of Dior jewelry will take a step-by-step look at all the facets of this luxurious universe, from Antiquity to the present day, with the contribution of specialized expertise in each one.
Chaumet also recently released its own series of podcasts entitled Conversations Virtuoses, consisting of three 25-minute episodes, each of which featured a conversation between a virtuoso from the house and a craftsman about the world of precious jewelry from the French house.
Between the history of jewelry, symbolism and its representations in art, all themes will be addressed during this Dior talks through passionate speeches by professionals: the great fashion historian Olivier Saillard will be one of the guests of the Dior talks with the art critic Donatien Grau, the ethnologist Patrizia Ciambelli and author of the beautiful book Bijoux à secrets, 2002, the psychoanalyst and doctor of philosophy Vannina Micheli, and Georges Vigarello, a historian specializing in representations of the body.
This new five-episode series will provide its listeners with a rich program available via the Spotify platform and on its website, and for this occasion has released a first teaser to give a first idea of what this new Dior talks series will look like.
