The Richemont Group has unveiled ‘A Bunch of Designers’, an accelerator programme designed to support a new generation of independent designers. Conceived as a springboard to entrepreneurship, this programme aims to transform young designers into true brand founders, capable of launching and developing a sustainable business.
Stemming directly from the legacy of Alber Elbaz, former creative director at Lanvin in the early 2000s who passed away in 2021, the project is part of the group’s commitment to supporting emerging talent. Following on from AZ Factory, Richemont has launched AZ Academy: Business for Designers, a training programme developed in partnership with the Creative Academy and the Accademia Costume & Moda in Milan.
Knowledge as a weapon
This twelve-month course is not limited to teaching design. It introduces participants to the fundamentals of setting up a fashion house: financing, merchandising, pricing strategy, production, distribution, communication and brand development.
