[LUXUS MAGAZINE] A selection of 5 icy spots to cool off all summer long

The undisputed star of sunny days, ice cream is the ultimate indulgence as soon as temperatures rise. Whether artisanal, gourmet, or boldly reimagined, it can be enjoyed during a stroll, on a sunny terrace, taken to go for an impromptu break, or even delivered to your door to extend summer without leaving your couch. Whether served in a crispy cone, a generous cup, or enhanced with gourmet toppings, ice cream is much more than just a dessert : it’s a summer ritual.

An overview of five brands that melt gourmets’ hearts with their ice cream creations, as refined as they are refreshing.

Born in Lourmarin, in the heart of the Luberon, Ravi turns artisanal ice cream into a true tribute to the flavors of Provence. Founded by Clément Martin, an artisan ice cream maker trained by the Compagnons du Devoir and later by a Meilleur Ouvrier de France, the brand prides itself on a meticulous approach: recipes crafted without artificial colors or flavors, low in sugar, using ingredients rigorously selected from local producers and in tune with the seasons.

Alongside the great classics, Raví cultivates a taste for surprise with creations inspired by the Provençal terroir. Vanilla-Caramel, Apple-Ginger, Pear-Sage, and even Navette with orange blossom—a nod to the famous Marseille specialty—make up a menu that is as original as it is refined. Handcrafted in the Vaucluse region, the house’s ice creams can be discovered in its Provençal shops, but also enjoyed throughout France thanks to a refrigerated delivery service. A spot that captures, spoonful by spoonful, the sunny spirit of the South.
