The Swiss group Richemont<\/strong> announced on Friday two important appointments to its management bodies. Bram (Abraham) Schot<\/strong>, a serial executive and automotive expert, has been elected to the Board of Directors, while B\u00e9rang\u00e8re Ruchat<\/strong>, Richemont’s Director of Sustainable Development, has been appointed to the Group’s Senior Executive Committee.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Bram Schot’s appointment is, however, conditional on the approval of its shareholders at the end of the next general meeting<\/strong>, to be held in September. The 61-year-old Dutchman has spent a good part of his career with German car manufacturers.<\/strong> With more than 30 years of experience, he has held various management positions, including CEO, at DaimlerChrysler, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen Group<\/strong>. His one-year stint at AUDI AG<\/strong> as Chairman of the Board of Management led him to manage brands such as Ducati and Lamborghini. Today, Bram Schot is also a member of the Safety, Environment and Sustainability Committee of the Anglo-Dutch oil group Shell<\/strong>. In addition, he is a senior advisor to various companies, including the Carlyle Group<\/strong>, and a professor of leadership and entrepreneurship at Bocconi University<\/strong> in Italy.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Bram Schot “brings unparalleled managerial experience and expertise in customer focus, technology, sustainability, innovation and risk management to help us achieve our goal of long-term profitable, responsible and sustainable growth”<\/em>, said Johann Rupert<\/strong>, group chairman.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n B\u00e9rang\u00e8re Ruchat<\/strong> will join the Group Executive Committee with immediate effect. She has worked at Firmenich<\/strong> in the past, already as Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) and was awarded in 2016<\/strong> for her work in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by the WBCSD’s Leading Women Awards.
