Its first industrial site in Pontoise (Oise) was no longer sufficient for its ambitions. The French beauty specialist Clarins has chosen Troyes, in the Aube region, to set up a second factory, which will start up at the end of 2024.

Clarins<\/strong> is continuing its expansion by focusing on Made in France. While it already manufactures the vast majority of its cosmetics and skincare products (more than 90%) in its factory in Pontoise, the French multinational has just announced that it has opted for Troyes to set up a second site. The capital of the Aube region, once the cradle of French knitwear with such flagships as Lacoste and Petit Bateau, was preferred to Saint-Quentin (Aisne), which had also been considered.<\/p>\n

With a turnover of 1.7 billion euros<\/strong> in 150 countries<\/strong> and 8,000 employees<\/strong>, Clarins is clearly not resting on its laurels.<\/p>\n

“Our ambitious roadmap foresees the doubling of our production, which leads us today to the deployment of a second site. As a French company, the Clarins group has always chosen to favour “made in France” and short circuits”<\/em>, said Jonathan Zrihen<\/strong>, President and CEO of the Clarins group.<\/p>\n

The new factory will be located on a 13-hectare site in Sainte-Savine<\/strong>, a town bordering the capital of the Aube<\/strong> region, within the Parc du Grand Troyes<\/strong>. Requiring a total investment of 135 million euros, the new factory will employ around fifty people at the start, and eventually almost 300 to run 21 production lines.<\/p>\n

The site will respect Clarins’ CSR commitments and will meet HQE excellent (high environmental quality) criteria.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“Work is expected to start by the end of February 2023, with production scheduled to begin in autumn 2024,”<\/em> the group said.<\/p>\n
