Art\u00e9mis Domaines, the wine company of businessman Fran\u00e7ois Pinault and a subsidiary of the Art\u00e9mis Group, has acquired the Champagne House Jacquesson. This acquisition expands the Breton billionaire’s network of wine estates.<\/h4>\n

Art\u00e9mis Domaines<\/strong>, which already owns Ch\u00e2teau Latour and Champagne Henriot<\/strong>, among other wines, has become the “sole shareholder” of Champagne Jacquesson<\/strong>, of which it has been a minority shareholder since February 2022<\/strong>. The company held a 33.5%<\/strong> stake in Jacquesson alongside the Chiquet family. This is a first for the luxury group, which had until now left the LVMH group free to develop its activities in Champagne.<\/p>\n

Its positioning of excellence and the winemaking character of its wines resonate perfectly with the values and know-how of Art\u00e9mis Domaines. After a period of knowledge transfer during the year 2022, we are very honoured to be able to take over.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Maison Jacquesson, founded in Dizy, Champagne, was previously owned by the Chiquet family, who acquired it in 1974. The estate covers 40 hectares and produces 300,000 bottles a year, a small production compared to the volumes of the big Champagne houses. The ultra-luxury niche positioning of Maison Jacquesson is in line with the values of the Kering group.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Jean Garandeau<\/strong>, Jacquesson’s Managing Director since September 2022, will retain his position. Jean-Herv\u00e9 Chiquet<\/strong>, the former owner, will continue to sit on the House’s Board of Directors.<\/p>\n

With its latest acquisition, Art\u00e9mis Domaines now owns around ten wine estates, including Ch\u00e2teau Latour and Clos de Tard<\/strong> in Burgundy, Ch\u00e2teau Grillet<\/strong> in the Rh\u00f4ne Valley, Bouchard P\u00e8re et Fils and Henriot<\/strong> in Champagne, as well as Eisele Vineyard<\/strong> in California and Beaux Fr\u00e8res<\/strong> in Oregon, USA.<\/p>\n
