The International Luxury Travel and Tourism Exhibition (ILTM)<\/strong> is being held until tomorrow, Thursday 8 December, in Cannes<\/strong>. An opportunity to take stock of the trends in the sector.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n A survey commissioned by the InterContinental Group<\/strong> (IHG Hotels & Resorts) and carried out by YouGov<\/strong> among French people in high socio-professional categories (CSP+) confirms that in 2022, the demand for luxury travel has flourished: 39% of those surveyed said they had stayed in at least one luxury hotel in the past 12 months.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Over 50% of those surveyed believe that ‘unique’ travel and experiences are more indicative of an affluent lifestyle than owning a branded product. Finally, 77% of respondents would like to be offered a stay or ‘experience’ in a luxury hotel in 2023.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Despite the Brexit, Britain should continue to attract quality tourism. Visit Britain<\/strong><\/em> has just published a list of “10 good reasons to visit Britain<\/em><\/strong>” in 2023.\u00a0 First on the list is “the boom in luxury hotels in London”<\/em>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n “When it comes to luxury hotels, it’s hard to beat London,”<\/em> explains Visit Britain. Not only does the British capital already have many luxury establishments, but several international chains are planning to set up shop here next year.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n For example, the Art’otel<\/strong> group will open its first UK property, just off Battersea Power Station<\/strong>, in October 2022. London will also see the opening of the Park Hyatt London River Thames<\/strong> and Six Senses London<\/strong>, which will be the brand’s first UK property.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n In recent weeks, announcements of the opening or re-opening of luxury hotels have multiplied.<\/strong> \u00a0On 28 November last, a new resort in the Grand Rabat region was inaugurated by Fairmont Hotels and Resort.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n For its part, The Lux Collective<\/strong> has already announced that by 2023 and beyond, it will start four innovative projects for its emblematic luxury brand, LUX*<\/strong>: two hotels in Dubai, near the Sharjah desert, another in Vietnam and a fourth in the south of France, the LUX* Marseillan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n France is not to be outdone with the opening of the Radisson Hotel Nice Airport<\/strong> in november, after complete renovation, the first Radisson hotel in France.
