Mr. Guerra is expected to take up his position in January<\/strong>, following approval by Prada’s board of directors, according to the same Italian source.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n “We believe Guerra will bring invaluable experience to Prada’s management team,<\/em>” said U.S. investment bank Jefferies, adding that investors would likely welcome the arrival in the context of the succession.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n This strategic decision was taken by Miuccia Prada<\/strong> and Patrizio Bertelli<\/strong>, respectively CEO, managing director and main shareholders of the House, in order to facilitate a family succession. Mr. Bertelli announced his intention to hand over the reins of the group, within three years, to his son Lorenzo<\/strong>, currently marketing director.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n “The discussion is in the family. I can’t say if it will happen in 3, 4 or 5 years. The important thing for a group like ours is to face a succession phase in the most correct way,<\/em>” said Patrizio last year.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Italian group has been undergoing its aggiornamento for some time now. In 2020, Miuccia Prada hired Belgian fashion designer Raf Simons as co-creative director<\/strong>. Since then, the alliance between the two designers has resulted in many trendy and elegant collections.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n In all companies, the executive committee evolves with the times. Prada is no exception to the rule.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n At the head of the group, which owns the Prada, Miu Miu, Church’s, Car Shoe, Marchi and Luna Rossa<\/strong> brands, is Miuccia Prada, the heiress, CEO and artistic director. Her husband, Patrizio Bertelli, is also CEO.\u00a0 Paolo Zannoni, an international advisor at Goldman Sachs, has been appointed chairman of the board in 2021.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Lorenzo Bertelli<\/strong>, the executives’ son, has been head of communications since 2019. He joined the board last year as executive director. He will have to wait a while before taking over the reins of the group. In the meantime, the position goes to Andrea Guerra<\/strong>, who will take up his post next January.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Andrea Bonini<\/strong> is also on the board. He replaces Alessandra Cozzani, in the position of CFO, since May 2, 2022.
