Christie’s Geneva sold the largest pink diamond ever sold at auction for more than 28 million Swiss francs (almost $29 million) in its exceptional “Magnificient Jewels” jewellery auction.<\/h4>\n

Christie’s Geneva’s<\/strong> exceptional “Magnificient Jewels”<\/em><\/strong> jewellery sale on 8 November exceeded 56.5 million Swiss francs, or over $57 million.<\/strong> The undisputed star of the show was “The Fortune Pink”<\/em><\/strong>, which sold for 28,438,500 Swiss francs (nearly $29 million).<\/strong> Weighing 18.18 carats, it is the largest pear-shaped vivid pink diamond ever sold at auction.<\/strong> Another highlight of the sale was an unmounted diamond weighing 101.27 carats, which fetched almost 3 million Swiss francs.<\/p>\n

The auction enjoyed global participation with registrants from 20 countries on four continents.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Other notable results from the Geneva Magnificent Jewellery Auction included an extraordinary Graff<\/strong> diamond ring weighing 41.36 carats, which sold for 3,654,000 Swiss francs, and the important diamond rivi\u00e8re necklace from the collection of Lord and Lady Weinstock<\/strong>, which fetched 869,400 Swiss francs. Four exceptional pieces of jewellery from a European princely family sold for a combined total of CHF 1,354,500, highlighted by the Bulgari Art Deco<\/strong> natural and cultured pearl necklace which sold for CHF 504,000.<\/p>\n
