A symbol of refined luxury<\/strong> and Art Deco, this new Orient Express is modernized and sublimated under the artistic direction of French architect Maxime d’Angeac<\/strong>. The Accor group has placed its trust in this master of decoration, who is passionate about the Italian Renaissance. A wooden interior, decorations that oscillate between past and present, bring a resolutely nostalgic touch to this 19th century train.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n A bar car, another restaurant, several cabins, from the standard to the presidential suite constitute this train. The project will be presented for the first time at the Design Miami exhibition in October 2023. During the next Olympic Games in Paris in 2024, a handful of VIPs will be able to sleep in it, but it will only be in 2025 that it will be officially put into circulation.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Accor group is planning ahead and a complete team has already been put together, headed by Guillaume de Saint-Lager<\/strong>, Vice President of the Orient Express Trains division.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n To support and advise him, Yann Guezennec has been called in as Vice President Sales & Marketing. A strategic choice, given his long career with Venice-Simplon-Orient-Express.\u00a0 Gabriel Curis, a former SNCF employee, has become project manager. Finally, other professionals in the sector are carrying and will carry this project at arm’s length.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In the group’s new organization, the Luxury & Lifestyle<\/strong><\/em> division brings together the brands in these universes around four collections: Raffles & Orient Express, Fairmont, Sofitel & McGallery and Ennismore. While waiting to be able to manage and sell the multiple services that the Orient Express will offer, the division is working with luxury train owners<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The first contract was signed by Orient Express Trains with the group of Paolo Barletta, a specialist in luxury trains in Italy<\/strong>, associated with Nicola Bulgari. The project, called La Dolce Vita<\/em><\/strong>, involves a set of six trains, each with 11 carriages, inspired by the luxurious machines of the 19th century. They will be able to accommodate up to 62 passengers in about 30 cabins. A dozen itineraries will be scheduled to explore the home of the Opera from north to south, as well as three international routes from Rome to Paris, Istanbul and Split.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n As for the Orient Express train by Accor, many things remain to be validated: the routes, the schedule and the fares<\/strong>.
