The Luzern Palace<\/strong>, a landmark address from the 1900s, has been given a facelift in the colors of Mandarin Oriental<\/strong>. Under the direction and supervision of the Asian brand, luxury and elegance are more important than ever.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The ribbon-cutting ceremony marks the reopening of this mythical establishment, a Belle \u00c9poque monument emblematic of the city. It was attended by Cecilia Bartoli, the great opera diva and long-time fan of Mandarin Oriental hotels.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The inauguration is also attended by big names such as Christian Wildhaber<\/strong>, the hotel’s general manager, Shin Ting Wang<\/strong>, the Chinese ambassador, dignitary Lijun Yu<\/strong> and other members of the group’s management team.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The palace has undergone a thorough and rigorous renovation, led by Swiss architectural firm Iwan B\u00fchler Architekten<\/strong> and London-based interior design firm Jestico + Whiles<\/strong>. While bringing in new features<\/strong> and contemporary decor, they preserved the building’s rich historical heritage<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Among the 136 rooms on offer are 48 spacious suites, some with panoramic terraces overlooking the lake and mountains.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Already present in Switzerland through its hotel in Geneva, the chain is once again focusing on gastronomy<\/strong>.
