The idea was to move these items decisively towards the status of a <strong>fashion accessory<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>At the time, the two parties signed a 14-year licensing agreement. Luxottica then lost the license to<strong> Safilo SpA<\/strong> in 2003. Before getting it back, as of 2013.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;In line with Leonardo Del Vecchio&#8217;s vision, we are inaugurating a new long-term partnership model with Armani that will anchor us in the same spirit for many years to come,&#8221;<\/em> EssilorLuxottica CEO <strong>Francesco Milleri<\/strong> said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Throughout my career, I have always built long-term collaborations and agreements with trusted partners,&#8221;<\/em> <strong>Giorgio Armani<\/strong> himself stressed. <em>&#8220;The relationship with EssilorLuxottica has been a cornerstone of my career, born of personal and professional esteem, which led to difficult choices.
