Gainerie 91, the French leader in luxury packaging, has just rewarded five winners at the end of its Design Competition organised for the 9th consecutive year. The 2022 edition of the competition offered design students the opportunity to develop an innovative and creative project around the theme of “Les Bibelots du Luxe”.<\/h4>\n

<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The 9th edition of the design competition invited young participants to design and imagine small, innovative and creative gift objects, which make the luxury sector special.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This year’s jury members included Guillaume Henrio<\/strong>, Senior Purchasing Manager at Van Cleef & Arpels, Leonardo Malizia<\/strong>, Finance Director – Gems at Tech Group, Alissa Demorest<\/strong>, Editorial Director at Formes de Luxe and Sophie M\u00e9rut,<\/strong> Visual Merchandising Project Manager at Fred.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This year’s winner is Arthur Viviant<\/strong>, from the \u00c9cole et Lyc\u00e9e des M\u00e9tiers d’Art et du Design Auguste Renoir, for the project “Petit Cheval”<\/strong>, which reinvents the game “les petits chevaux”.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

His project takes the form of a playful and nomadic trinket in the shape of a small horse, which accompanies its owner indoors and outdoors to occupy his leisure time. This first prize enabled Arthur Viviant to win a cheque for \u20ac2,500 (or a Brompton Superlight M6 compact folding bike).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

He will also benefit from a prototyping of his project in the workshops of Gainerie 91, leader for 50 years in the manufacture of cases and POS for the biggest luxury brands in watchmaking, jewellery, perfumery and wine.<\/p>\n

Hugues Moreau<\/strong> won the second prize with his humorous project called “Egeria”<\/strong>, a cheque for \u20ac1,500 (or an Apple iPad Pro 12.9 (256GB) with its stylus and felt case).\u00a0 The idea? To break with the traditional codes of luxury by revisiting an everyday object.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The bestiary precious to the House of Boucheron is thus honoured through a multi-purpose gift that is elegant, useful and durable.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Playing with the house’s graphic codes, this precious porcelain object will please and add its “Boucheron” touch to the meals of its muse Wladimir the cat.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Lucie Gonon<\/strong> took third place for her miniature binoculars project called “Horizon Herm\u00e8s”<\/strong>, which won her a cheque for \u20ac1,000 (or her choice of a 3D printer and laser engraver Makeblock mCreate 2.0).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Public Prize<\/strong> was awarded to Marine J\u00e9go<\/strong> and Paul Chollet<\/strong>, from the Nantes Atlantique School of Design, for their “Doro”<\/strong> project, which consists of a set of mobile cutlery and a leather carrying case. They both win a cheque for \u20ac800 (or a 12-month subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud).<\/p>\n

Finally, a prize dedicated to innovation<\/strong> was won by Beno\u00eet Vannier<\/strong>, from the EDDA school in Reims, for the project “Sablier \u00e0 \u00e9coulement variable”, i.e. a cheque for 400 \u20ac (or your choice of a Standard SP Chair from J).<\/p>\n

The event, which was held in the exceptional setting of the Mus\u00e9e du Jeu de Paume in Paris, was followed by a festive cocktail party in the presence of numerous personalities in the museum gardens.<\/p>\n
