{"id":86978,"date":"2022-07-06T08:30:47","date_gmt":"2022-07-06T06:30:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/test2023.luxus-plus.com\/?p=86978"},"modified":"2022-07-06T08:51:30","modified_gmt":"2022-07-06T06:51:30","slug":"breitling-now-accepts-cryptocurrency-payments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/luxus-plus.com\/en\/breitling-now-accepts-cryptocurrency-payments\/","title":{"rendered":"Breitling now accepts cryptocurrency payments"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>Luxury watchmaker <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitling.com\/fr-fr\/?gclid=CjwKCAjwwo-WBhAMEiwAV4dybUvVTK8h5VdxmcU21IwB2gZw98rk8LB28yOoJfpP-6shaq4eeuwrfhoCYVwQAvD_BwE&amp;gclsrc=aw.ds\">Breitling<\/a> announced at the end of June that it now accepts payments in cryptocurrency.<\/h4>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After luxury fashion houses, car manufacturers and the culture sector, <strong>cryptocurrency is now gaining access to the world of luxury watchmaking<\/strong>. <strong>Breitling<\/strong> is following in the footsteps of its watchmaking competitors TAG Heuer and Hublot and is now accepting a plethora of cryptoassets.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Despite the recent drop in many crypto assets including the much-touted Bitcoin, this is not stopping digital assets from successfully finding their way into almost every business segment.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Through a partnership with <strong>BitPay<\/strong>, the global leader in <strong>blockchain<\/strong> payment technology, Breitling will accept payments for watches and watch bands in cryptocurrencies, which include <strong>Bitcoin, Dogecoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Shiba Inu, Wrapped Bitcoin <\/strong>as well as<strong> Litecoin<\/strong>. Other so-called &#8220;stable&#8221; cryptocurrencies called stablecoins are also accepted by the company. These include the USD Coin, Gemini Dollar, USDP, Binance USD and, finally, Dai.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>However, this is not the Swiss watchmaker&#8217;s first foray into the virtual and digital asset world.
