The city of Cannes has decided to auction off eleven of the city’s iconic locations on June 21, in partnership with the auction house Artcurial. Cannes is the first city to organize such a sale of its heritage.<\/h4>\n

The city council has called on Pertimm<\/strong>, a company specializing in artificial intelligence and machine learning, to digitize and sell as NFTs<\/strong> (non-fungible tokens) several sites in this emblematic city of the French Riviera, some of which are world famous. The Palais des Festivals et des Congr\u00e8s<\/strong>, the Croisette<\/strong>, the Vieux Port<\/strong>, the Ile Sainte Marguerite and its Fort Royal, the Pointe Croisette with the Palm Beach, the Malmaison, the Suquet, the Ecomus\u00e9e sous-marin, the March\u00e9 Forville and finally the Port Canto will all be digitized as part of this sale.<\/p>\n

An eleventh place, the Georges-M\u00e9li\u00e8s Campus<\/strong>, is also among the places that will be transformed into NFT but will be offered by lottery to a Cannes resident who will leave with a right of possession estimated at 10 000 euros. <\/strong><\/p>\n
