The Orient Express hotel<\/strong> will be built in the fabulous Palazzo Don\u00e0 Giovannelli in Venice, Italy. An initiative of the Accor group<\/strong>, owner of Orient Express<\/strong>, and the Arsenale S.p.A. group<\/strong>, this hotel should see the light of day in early 2024. The architect and interior designer Aline Asmar d’Amman and her studio Culture in Architecture<\/strong> will be in charge of the project.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Palazzo Don\u00e0 Giovannelli<\/strong>, which will host this prestigious establishment, is a palazzo-tresor built in 1400 by the architect Filippo Calendario<\/strong>, famous signature of the Doge’s Palace<\/strong>. Formerly the residence of the Duke of Urbino<\/strong>, a patron of the arts, it was renovated twice, in 1800 by the architect Gian Battista Meduna<\/strong>, and was successively owned by the Don\u00e0 and Giovannelli families.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Inspired by the cultures and eras that have passed through its history, the Orient Express Venice Hotel will offer 45 rooms and suites, all overlooking the gardens and the city’s famous canals.<\/strong> The hotel’s bar will be located in the old piano nobile ballroom, the building’s noble floor and the few hidden rooftop terraces will offer the most beautiful views of the wonders of the Serenissima.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Stephen Alden<\/strong>, General Manager Raffles and Orient Express, Accor is delighted with this new opening and says “The arrival of the Orient Express hotel in Venice resonates naturally with the history of the brand.
